"User" - an individual or legal entity using the services of the site, placing an advertisement, or searching for desired products.
Basic terms of the contract
1.1. The intermediary undertakes to organize the temporary use of a vehicle owned by a third party (hereinafter "Owner") for the renter, and the renter undertakes to pay for this service under the conditions specified in this contract. The site acts as an intermediary, assisting the lessor in renting out and the lessee in renting the desired vehicle.
1.2. The owner ensures the placement of advertisements in the exact appropriate section, which helps users to easily find the vehicle.
1.3. The information posted on the site serves to facilitate the sale of user products and establish contact with other users.
1.4. Any individual or legal entity posts personal information on the site voluntarily, based on their interests.
1.5. By posting information on the site, the user agrees that the information will be open and accessible to any user.
1.6. Based on clause 1.5, the user assumes all risks associated with the dissemination of this information.
1.7. The information posted on the site does not have legal force. The user is obliged to verify the accuracy of the information before any financial transaction.
1.8. The site is not responsible for the rental conditions provided by the car owners but undertakes to provide only verified information about the cars.
1.9. The minimum period of paid rental is 24 hours. This means that if you rent a car for a few hours, you will be charged the full daily rate. For example, if you need a car from 09:00 on Monday to 13:00 on Tuesday, you will be charged for two full days (48 hours).
1.10. The user must familiarize themselves with these terms and conditions. The company has the right to make changes and additions to the rules and conditions unilaterally without prior notice to users. At the same time, the user's visit/use of the website automatically implies the user's consent to the requirements of these rules and conditions.
Posting advertisements
2.1. The user is not entitled to post an advertisement on the site, the content of which contradicts the current legislation of Georgia.
2.2. To post a car advertisement on the site, you need to register and agree to the terms of use of the "tripbox" site.
2.3. All individuals and legal entities, except for individuals under 18 years of age, have the right to post advertisements on the site.
2.4. By posting an advertisement, the user confirms that they have the right to rent the car specified in the advertisement or have the appropriate consent to offer the car for sale.
Rental conditions
3.1. Type and model of the car: [type and model].
3.2. Rental period: from [start date] to [end date].
3.3. Rental price: [specify price] [specify period], including all taxes provided for by the legislation of Georgia.
3.4. Prepayment: the renter pays an advance of 15-20% of the rental price.
Electronic consent:
4.1. This agreement is considered concluded at the moment of confirmation of prepayment for the booking of the car through the platform.
4.2. The confirmation of booking and prepayment is the acceptance by the renter of the terms of this agreement.
Responsibility
5.1. The intermediary undertakes to ensure the availability of the site 24 hours a day, except for technical periods.
5.2. The intermediary is not responsible for direct or indirect damage caused by the use or inability to use the service.
5.3. The renter is responsible for paying fines, fuel, and parking fees.
5.4. In case of non-fulfillment of the rental conditions, the parties are responsible under the current legislation and the terms of this agreement.
Rights and obligations of the parties:
6.1. If the renter wishes to extend the rental period, they must notify the rental agent 24 hours in advance.
6.2. The renter must return the rented car with the same level of fuel as received. If the fuel level is lower than at the time of receipt, the renter will be fully responsible for the fuel costs. If the fuel level is higher, the difference is not compensated.
6.3. If the returned vehicle requires more thorough cleaning than usual (including checking for scratches and dents), the renter must reimburse the cleaning costs.
6.4. Rented cars are allowed only on public roads with a hard surface.
6.5. It is strictly forbidden to drive a rented car on the following routes:
Route "Akhaltsikhe – Batumi" through the Goderdzi Pass;
Route "Mestia – Ushguli – Lentekhi";
Route "Sairme – Abastumani";
Regions: Truso, Juta, Vashlovani, Tusheti, Omalo, Shatili, Abkhazia, South Ossetia.
Driving on prohibited routes and in prohibited areas is restricted due to poor road conditions, so insurance does not apply in these areas.
6.6. Moving the rented car outside the country is prohibited.
6.7. The contact phone number specified at the time of booking, with the correct country code, must be available during the entire rental period and the day before the car is picked up. We do not accept any claims regarding service quality if we could not contact the renter by mobile phone or instant messenger (Viber/WhatsApp/Telegram).
6.8. The minimum age and driving experience of the driver are specified on the page of each vehicle. These requirements may differ even for similar models. The rental agent has the right to refuse service at any time if the driver's age and/or driving experience do not meet the requirements of a particular car.

6.9. To rent a car, only a valid national driving license with Latin letters transliteration is required. If your driving license is valid only in the country of issuance, we recommend attaching an international driving permit to your documents and presenting it upon request.
6.10. If a credit card is required to pay the deposit, it must be personal and in the name of the main driver.
6.11. Only small pets can be transported in rented cars and must always be in carriers.
Insurance
7.4. Standard insurance does not cover damage to wheels, chassis, windshield, or car interior.
7.5. In the event of an insurance case, the renter must immediately notify the rental agent and obtain a notice of violation, unless otherwise agreed with the agent. Failure to comply with these conditions will void the car insurance, and the renter will be fully responsible.
Receiving and returning the rented car
8.1. The car is handed over to the renter at the specified time and place, according to the booking conditions.
8.2. Delivery time may vary depending on the distance and current traffic conditions. "tripbox" will make every effort to ensure delivery at the specified time.
8.3. The renter must check the car upon receipt and ensure that it matches the specified characteristics and condition.
8.4. "tripbox" is not responsible for delivery delays caused by factors beyond "tripbox" control, including weather conditions, accidents, and road works.
8.5. If you have any questions or problems with delivery, the renter can contact the "tripbox" support service at info@tripbox.ge.
Cancellation of booking
9.1. The renter can cancel the booking at any time before the start of the rental period. Refund conditions depend on the time of notification of the cancellation:
If the cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the start of the rental, the renter is entitled to a full refund.
If the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the start of the rental, no refund will be given.
9.2. If the vehicle is unavailable or considered unfit due to damage or other circumstances, the agent (vehicle owner) must provide the renter with a similar or higher class car at no extra charge. If replacement is impossible, the renter is entitled to a full refund.
9.3. Booking cancellation procedure:
9.3.1. To start the refund process, the renter must contact the "tripbox" support team at info@tripbox.ge.
9.3.2. Refunds are made using the same method as the payment within 3 days from the confirmation of the cancellation.
9.4. Refunds are not possible in cases where the cancellation of the booking occurred due to reasons beyond the control of the intermediary or agent, including but not limited to: adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of war, and other force majeure circumstances.
9.5. If you have questions about the refund or cancellation conditions, the renter can contact the platform support service at the specified contact information.
Term of the contract
10.1. The contract comes into force upon confirmation of booking and prepayment and is valid until the parties fulfill their obligations under the contract.
Dispute resolution
11.1. All disputes and disagreements arising from or in connection with this agreement shall be resolved through negotiations between the parties. If mutual agreement cannot be reached, the dispute may be referred to the Tripboxplatform for review as an independent mediator.
11.2. To file a complaint, a party must submit a written description of the issue along with supporting materials (e.g., correspondence, photographs, documents) to info@tripbox.ge. The platform will review the submitted complaint within 3 business days and may request additional information from either party.
11.3. The platform’s decision is advisory in nature and does not limit the parties' right to seek resolution through competent judicial or arbitration authorities.
11.4. The platform may consider disputes related to:
Unjustified refusal to return the deposit;
Significant discrepancies between the provided vehicle and the advertised specifications;
Failure by the owner to fulfill service obligations;
Owner’s refusal to compensate for damages resulting from a vehicle malfunction not caused by the renter (as outlined in Clause 12.6).
12. Commission Refund Policy
12.1. Eligibility for Commission Refunds
A commission paid to "tripbox" may be refunded under the following circumstances:
The vehicle owner fails to provide the booked car and does not offer an adequate replacement.
The vehicle provided substantially differs from the listed specifications (e.g., model, year, condition, or features).
The owner is unreachable at the agreed pickup time and location.
The booking is canceled by the owner less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled rental.
The vehicle is deemed unsafe or unfit for rental upon inspection.
12.2. Vehicle Replacement Policy
If the vehicle owner cannot provide the booked car due to technical issues, accident, or other unforeseen events, they must offer a replacement vehicle of the same or higher category under the same terms and conditions.
If the renter accepts the replacement, the service is considered duly fulfilled, and no commission refund will apply.
12.3. Commission Refund Procedure
To request a commission refund, the renter must contact tripbox support at info@tripbox.ge within 24 hours of the issue and submit the following:
Booking reference number
Detailed description of the incident
Supporting photo/video evidence (if available)
Communication records with the vehicle owner
tripbox will investigate the claim within 2 business days and may request additional documentation from either party. If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5 business days.
12.4. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Commission refunds are not applicable in the following cases:
The renter fails to appear at the pickup location within the agreed timeframe.
The renter does not meet the age, license, or other eligibility criteria for the selected vehicle.
The cancellation is due to personal reasons not related to the quality or availability of the service.
Force majeure events (natural disasters, armed conflict, government restrictions, etc.) prevent service delivery.
12.5. Partial Refunds
In situations where the service is only partially compromised (e.g., delivery delays, minor inconsistencies in the vehicle that do not prevent its use), tripbox may offer a partial refund at its discretion. This refund will typically range from 25% to 75% of the original commission amount.
12.6. Owner's Liability for Vehicle Malfunctions Not Caused by the Renter
12.6.1. In the event of a technical malfunction of the vehicle not caused by the renter, the owner shall:
Promptly provide a replacement vehicle of the same or higher class under identical rental terms;
If replacement is not possible, reimburse the renter for the unused portion of the rental period in full;
Compensate the renter for documented expenses incurred as a result of the malfunction (including but not limited to towing services, alternative transportation, or additional accommodation).
12.6.2. All financial settlements, including refunds and compensation, shall be made directly between the vehicle owner and the renter, without involvement of the Tripbox platform.
12.6.3. In the case of early termination of the rental due to technical issues, the deposit paid by the renter must be returned in full by the owner, unless part of it is lawfully withheld to cover other documented damages.
12.6.4. If the owner fails to fulfill the obligations set forth in this clause, the renter may contact the Tripbox platform for mediation in accordance with the procedure described in Section 11.
